Sleep Down Under
Recentley, Liora and Delwyn travelled to Perth to attend and present at the annual Australasian Sleep Association Conference "Sleep Down Under".
Liora presented information demostrated in her study about the role of self efficacy and coping strategies in mediating the effects of sleep disturbance on depression.
Delwyn lead a panel discussion regarding clinical case studies of the treatment of circadian
sleep disorders as well as charing a session on insomnia, sleep and health and having 5 of her PhD students presenting their work across topics including medications in sleep treatment, maternal sleep and depression, sleep misperception, delayed sleep phase disorder and sleep 'catch up'.
The conference also welcomed top pediatric sleep psychologists Prof Avi Sadeh from Tel Aviv University in Israel and Dr Jodi Mindell from Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia, USA who shared their research and updated Australia on international sleep findings.
